Did you take some great photos at Zombiefest?
Why not share them to the world?

Use our handy new picture uploader to send us your pics and in no time you’ll see them added to the Zombiefest 2006 gallery on the photos page.  Now stop being greedy and share that photo love.

A big bunch of thank you’s

I want to thank everyone who came out to Zombiefest this weekend. It was a big success and couldn’t/wouldn’t have been without our great customers support. Also, a huge thanks goes out to all of the great artists that wasted their Saturday to come sign. Ron, Adam and Phil you are all great. Finally, Tony and Kara thank you for coming up from KC. You are good people and are now part of the Cup family. You guys coming to our stupid little “festival” brings the dumb thing full circle. Zombiefest was started because of Matt’s geeking out over Walking Dead when it stated, so, having you here for it was a pretty big deal.
Thank you all,
Matt and Tyler

And since this worked well… soon we should have some info on what is coming next year.

Zombies Attack?!

New Photos!

Check out the Photos tab at the top of the page!

More will be added in the next few days, but we should have a lot of them soon.  The first batch is from a Cup family members Charity and Corey.

We Have A New logo!

Much like the website the logo has needed an update for some time and now it has happened. If you want to see it, go up to the photos tab and check out the Art in the Shop folder. We will also have coffee zombie t-shirts at the fest this week. Coming soon will be the logo shirts.

and all the Z-fest info:

ZOMBIEFEST III
Friday 13th and Saturday 14th of October

We’ve decided to listen to you for once and have expanded the number of days and the number of movies. We’ve even gotten a couple of guests for an in shop signing on Saturday. It should be a good old time of canabalistic…Fun?
Remember, it isn’t if, but when the zombie apocalypse will arrive. Are you prepared? Zombiefest is guaranteed to save your life*.

If you are unfamiliar with this Zombiefest thing, let us explain. The shop has been open for four long (very long) years and for our first anniversary we had a concert. It was great, but needed something more then just Feathers Are Beautiful. So, the next year we tried again and it was rained out. So, we wanted to do something else to give back to our loyal customers and who wouldn’t want to watch a couple of zombie movies on the side of the building. The problem was we tried to do it one of the last weekends of the month of October and it was nearly cancelled do to it being just barely above freezing. The thing is 50 idio… people showed up anyway. We tried again last year and it was a huge success. We had over 250 people come for undead fun. This year… who knows?

Artists Signing on Saturday Afternoon at 1:00
Tony Moore
Artist of The Walking Dead, Exterminators and Fear Agent
Phil Hester
Artist of, among other things, Green Arrow and the forthcoming ANTMAN
Ron Wagner

JUST ADDED: Friday Night will have Dave Musser running a Zombie Survival game here at the shop during the movies. Dave knows his table top gaming and this game is a blast. You will love it!

Friday’s Films:
1. Night of the Living Dead (the original)
2. Shawn of the Dead
3. Friday the 13th (the original… what? There’s a Zombie in it, kind-of.)
Saturday’s Films
1. Land of the Dead
2. Two other films.
3. maybe Battlefield Baseball or Sugar Hill. You have a recomendation? Let us know.
*The owners of the shop do not actually think you will survive a zombie apocalypse simply by attending Zombiefest 3, but then there won’t be much left of our current society after said apocalypse… so I guess, if you do survive, who’s to say if it was or wasn’t something you learned at Zombiefest 3. So, we’re sticking to our previous statement.
